NU websites would be in synergy

It is really amazing. The celebration of the NU's 82nd anniversary this year would likely be such an important momentum in the efforts of fueling NU strengths in its all aspects in both real and cyberspace.

All websites within the NU milieu that would be synergized especially in their management are NU Online (the official site of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama), Ansor Online (Central Board of Ansor Youth Movement), Cyber PMII (Indonesian Muslim Students Movement), IPNU Online (Nahdlatul Ulama Students Association), and so on.<>

The purposeful ideal was the result of a meeting initiated by the National Awakening Faction (FKB) of the House of Representatives and attended by top editors and those managing websites within NU milieu in Senayan, Jakarta, Tuesday (29/1).

Chairman of the faction, Effendi Choirie said the efforts of synergizing the NU websites were aimed at making the cyber space "arsenals" being as such a solid power.

"The FKB initiates this meeting to build (Nahdliyin) people's strengths as the biggest mass organization in the future," he said.

Thus it's expected, he added, there would be mutual cooperation and ties in upholding the strugles of NU as the Indonesian biggest Muslim organization.

"Besides, the umbrella aims to evolve Islamic teachings, namely Islam rahmatan lil alamin (blessings for the universe), and principles of justice, humanity, and democracy through mass media."

In the meantime, the editor in chief of NU Online, Abdul Mun'im DZ, explained the development of the official site of the PBNU.

"In the last few years, NU Online has been visited by hundreds of thousands people raound the world," Mun'im said, adding that many Nahdliyin (NU followers) in villages had had access to the site.

Hernoe from Ansor Online supported the prospective idea in synergyzing the NU sites' power to be a means of publication for Nahdliyin.
