General Chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) KH Hasyim Muzadi would reportedly take up issues dealing with the national commitment and problems facing the nation at a public dialogue in Manado, North Sulawesi (Sulut) on 25 Jun ahead.

“Muzadi would be a keynote speaker at the national dialogue together with a member of the House of Representatives Marhany Pua and religious figures at a Sulut’s NU regional work meeting (Muskerwil),” the Organizing Committee Chief Benny Rhamdani said here on Tuesday.<>

The dialogue would also involve many circles in voicing the existence of the Unitary State of The Republic of Indonesia (NKRI) and taking a stand against any separatist movements to undermine the Nation’s Pancasila Ideology.

The state news agency reported, Rhamdani said “the dialogue would be expected to at least produce feedbacks and recommendation on the national commitment.”

While, at the NU Muskerwil being attended by the NU Branch Boards across the province, important issues on how to eradicate corruption and strengthen law enforcement in all aspects of life would also be discussed.

Respecting the regional head elections (Pilkada) in regencies, Rhamdani asserted that the Sumut’s NU would stay neutral during the elections. (dar)
