Lamongan NU to distribute relief to flood victims

The Nahdlatul Ulama Regional Branch Board (PCNU) of Lamongan has distributed relief from a non-governmental "Tri Guna Bhakti" organization to people affected by flood disaster in Gayung Kebonsari Surabaya.

The delivery of the relief was conducted on the sidelines of Lamongan's NU work meeting on Sunday (20/1) at Ma'arif NU Sunan Drajat Elementary "MI" School, Lamongan.<>

The relief included 5 tons of rice, 100 packages of noodles, and 100 drinking water packages. The secretary of the Lamongan Nahdlatul Ulama Students Association Branch Board Imam Fadli told NU Online.

The relief was symbolically delivered by the Vice Chairman of the NGO KH Hasan Basri, accompanied by H Sholeh Hayat (Secretary), Hj. Churiyah Imron and Hj. Hindun to KH Abdullah Ma'un as the Chairman of Lamongan PCNU.

The assistance would directly be distributed to people affected by flood in some sub districts such as Laren, Maduran, Glagah, and Karangbinangun through local NU posts. The priority of the flood-affected regions is Laren.

While the Lamongan NU work meeting was attended by KH Nuruddin Abdurrahman (Syuriah of East Java NU Regional Board), Drs. H. Sholeh Hayat (Vice Chairman of East Java NU Regional Board), members of both Syuriah and Tanfidziyah of Lamongan PCNU, and so on. (nam)
