Hasyim calls on Nahdliyin to pay more attention to people lacking food supply

General Chairman of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) KH Hasyim Muzadi has called on Nahdliyin (NU followers) to pay more attention to people’s fate lacking food supply.
“I hope NU followers to help each other and pay attention to people’s condition lacking adequate food supply,” Hasyim said, adding that there would be possibility of increasingly mounting daily necessaries prices. <>
He also urged the government to monitor the distribution of food through out the country.
Hasyim said the government had not yet coordinated in monitoring the food prices in markets so there the would always be price rise every day.
The food price rise would potentially give negative impact to people's condition like child malnutrition because of low purchase power. (ant/suh)
