Every community has cosmology or their own view of life. The cosmology is able to keep their life not only with their natural environment but also with their social one. The implementation of both social ethic and natural one is actually a mechanism to keep the harmony of life. The pragmatic life of modern society has destroyed social cosmology, thus the society experiences disintegration, and finally it loses its social cohesiveness. Social ethic begins to relax when everyone has no cares of others and merely care about their own self.
When our society experienced disintegration at the same time with economic crisis mid-1990s, we watched many kind of conflicts happened. This conflict had social root, but also had provocation from groups who had interest to do divide et impera (break and smash). Conflict comes from small problem like fighting between villages with ethnic group and between religious group or political.

Actually provocation is always exist, but it has no influence if the society is integrated solidly. But when social integration is weak, provocation easily happens. How can a gentle person suddenly become fierce. How can a harmonious group for this time, suddenly slaughter to each other. It happens in the land that famous for its quite and peace. The harmony can go in a flash light when it is burnt by a provocation.
Two big problems that must be overcome, why the society experiences disintegration and why provocation glows. Social disintegration happens when pragmatism becomes the society’s philosophy of life. It happens at the same time with modernization process that does not take root, even not finish, so the society has lost their values or their old cosmology, while they have not succeed yet to build their new cosmology.
All happens because the society does not take the philosophy of modernization, but only takes its life style, while the life style can change everytime, so the society looses their value order even their identity. Life is absolutely controlled by product and consumtion. There is no social commitment, no moral commitment, life is merely bussy for competition and consumption. This materialism has weakened the idealism, including idealism for himself or his own future, moreover for the future of society and nation. They are very fragile, society without base, without handle, like the foam that hurled easily by the shake and the wind.
The second problem, why provocation develops so glow, as explained above, it was created as a break and smash tactic and subjection. The new order as a doll regime had a great interest to weaken this society and nation to make its movement and operation done easily. Conflict was created to make the society weak and careless, by this way, they were easier to be controlled. Provocation to each other is the most effective way to destroy power of the society. They do not need to be paralyzed, because they are paralyzed by their own friends.
The politics tactic has been done by the new order till now, because of that, almost all conflicts can not be controlled and finished, because it is preserved intentionally. How can the national army with powerful weapon is powerless to face the rioters and separatist movements that have weaker weapon. On the other side how the rioter groups, very extreme anti-state, social conflict maker are maintained by security apparatus. While, they oftenly make riot everywhere. Even they develop faster, until they can not be controlled again. Situbondo riot, Tasik riot, Sampit conflict, Aceh and Irian separatist movements. Also the glowing of Ninja in Banyuwangi.
Even recently we are suddenly shocked by the rising of many deviate sects that slithering almost to all villages. In fact, most of the sect’s activists have root in Islamic radical group. They are let to grow bigger but after that they are beaten by the society hand. As result, the society that usually is calm and does not judge by their own selves, but recently they fight perseverely against deviate sects, which causes social anger that make the society does not feel safe.
To manage this country in the future, it is deeply needed to rebuild the strong social solidarity to raise social commitment again so ethic and social control can walk normally again. Merely the solid social power which can prevent many kind of provocations.
On the other side, the government with all its apparatus, like bureaucracy, politicians, and security apparatus must begin to keep the security and the prosperity of this country by building social harmony. By stopping colonial ways, break and smash and domination. These steps not only make the society loss and suffering, but also falling down the country’s authority. Furthermore, these steps will inhibite the nation’s progress, energy that must be used to create creative program only used for defeating and destroying the nation it self.
To build the welfare society, we need to build social harmony, nation harmony, and the unity of country. Whoever, whether social organization groups, religious organizations, security apparatus, or politicians, they should have thought about the future of the nation and the country. This country will be greater if its energy is not aimed for conflicts but to build this country. To find many kind of ways and build many chances in every field.
