Jakarta, Nu Online
One of the NU autonomous bodies so called as Nahdlatul Ulama Women Organization (Muslimat NU) urged the government to repeat the national exam for students who did not pass. It again did not offer them to follow C Package.

“Looking at the phenomenon of economic difficulties, making public frustration and other disasters hit some Indonesia’s regions, the government should take wisely and firmly steps. Respecting the national exam, the government could give more opportunity for those who failed to follow the repetition of the exam,” General Chairman of Muslimat NU Khofifah Indar Parawansa said on Sunday, (25/6).

Khofifah regretted several state officials’ statements suggesting students who failed the recent exam not to follow C Package that was not regarded as equivalent to the national examination.
According to the former State Minister for Women Empowerment, the statement was not really a solution.

“Many did not pass (this year’s national exam) were not those whose low IQ. Never be shy for the government to revise its policy. If they given C Package as a solution, it is not solvable action,” he said.

Khofifah also said that many bright students who failed the national exam had already been admitted to best universities through achievement monitoring process (PMDK) because of their brillaince. (ant/mkf)
