Japan builds polyclinic at Tebuireng Islamic boarding school

The Japanese government through its consulate general in Surabaya, presented a grant of US$82,341 for the development of a polyclinic at the Tebuireng Islamic boarding school in Jombang, East Java.
The cooperation agreement on the grant would be signed by Shoji Sato, the Japanese consul general in Surabaya, East Java, and Salahuddin Wahid, the Tebuireng Islamic boarding school director, Arvil Syahadat of the Japanese consulate general office said here on Tuesday.<>
Japan has periodically provided funds to finance human security projects in Indonesia.
The polyclinic was needed to give health services to the school’s students and officials as well as residents living around the school, he was quoted by the state news agency as saying. (dar)
