The religious teachings of Nahdlatul Ulama (NU) basing mainly on Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah are considered of being able to maintain the national stability.

"Our country is secure for NU followers would make no diverse things unnecessarily," interim chairman of the Central Java's NU Regional Board, Abu Hapsin made the statement on the sidelines of the 62nd Anniversary of Brebes Muslimat NU, Central Java on Thursday (29/5). Hapsin said, the teachings of the Indonesia's biggest Muslim organization should be preserved to face any increasingly obstacles and challenges including Islamic groups trying to disrupt the Nahdliyin-based organization.

Hapsin then called on the Nahdliyin (NU followers) to remain in unity to strengthen the existence of NU. All this, he said, was aimed at again and again facing other Islamic groups trying to disrupt the NU. (rif)
