NU leadership determined this morning

Such prestigious positions as rais aam (general chairman of legislative boad) and general chairman of tanfiziyah (executive board) of the Indonesia's largest Muslim organization Nahdlatul Ulama will be determined this morning (Saturday, 27/3) at the Hajj Dormitory, Sudiang, Makassar.
Reportedly, the election of rais aam will be held earlier before the one of general chairman of tanfidziyah. The two posts will directly be determined by participants comprising provincial and regency-level boards and NU special branches abroad in the Makassar's NU32nd congress.

According to the organizing committee chief KH Hafidz Usman, with reference to the congress rules, it's explained that rais aam and general chairman of tanfidziyah candidates should secure at least 90 votes.
In addition, the candidates should have at least four years experience in the NU management or its autonomous bodies and institutions and not hold political posts. If the candidates served as board members in certain political parties, they should then resign in a written statement. (nam)
