Japanese ambassador on return visits to traditional Muslim schools

Japanese Ambassador to Indonesia Kojiro Shiojiri made return visits to a number of traditional Muslim schools (pondok pelantrens/ponpres) which had visited Japan for weeks in January, special staff of the Japanese embassy Atsushi Sano said Sunday.
He said in Bogor Sunday that Kojiro Shiojiri had made several return visits to some traditional Muslim schools in Indonesia.<<>br />
On Thursday, he visited the the Al-Mukhlisin ponpres at Jalan Raya Cisseng, Parung, Ciseeng village, Ciseeng subdistricr, Bogor district, West Java.
On the occasion Kojiro Shiojiri delivered a speech to the ponpres students and their teachers.
He also interviews of the students and their teachers on Japanese culture, Japanese cooperation as well as the diplomatic relations between Japan and Indonesia.
The other programs include display and introduction of Japanese cultural riches, especially traditional arts and garments of Japanese in the different seasons.
"On Thursday we have visited the Al-Mukhlisin ponpres in Ciseen, and also planned to visit other similar institutions which had also visited Japan," he said. (ant/dar)
