The lecturer at Institute of Technology 10 Noverber Surabaya (ITS) also called on Nahdliyin to keep on guard against any threats posed by certain Islamic groups willing to discredit NU.

Agus said that they had most of the time promoted the slanders in a wide range of media.

"The slanders can be through mailing lists, websites, and so on. I hope all friends to keep on guard against websites littered with 'virus' such as Salafi, Wahabi, Assunnah, and so forth." he added. (rif)
