IPNU cadres should be able to propagate Aswaja teachings

The Nahdlatul Ulama Branch Board (PCNU) of Padangpariaman expected cadres of the Nahdlatul Ulama Student Association (IPNU) to be able to propagate the teachings of Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah (Aswaja). That's why the IPNU cadres should stay enthusiastic while studying in addition to doing organizational activities.
Chairman of the Padangpariaman's PCNU Rahmat Tuanku Sulaiman made the remarks on the sidelines of the organization's annual meeting at Al Munawwarah Islamic boarding school (pesantren), Sungailangok, VII Koto Padangpariaman over the weekend.<>
According to Rahmat, today's IPNU cadres would expectedly be the ones capable of contributing to NU through their involvement in various NU organizations.
While the one-day meeting was related to the accountability report agenda delivered by chairman of IPNU for the period 2007-2008 and to discuss work programs and to elect those willing to be mandated to run the IPNU management for the period 2009-2011.
In his speech, chairman of the IPNU Padangpariaman Aznam Tuanku Bagindo Batuah said that the Padangpariaman IPNU cadres had so far taken part actively in at least giving assistance to the people following the recent earthquake, NU Online's Bagindo Armaidi reported on Monday.
"Following the quake, various parties came to Padangpariaman. In addition to giving assistance, they also introduced their religious doctrines and beliefs to the quake victims. There were even missionarists trying to influence the people's belief. Aznam said. (min)
