The resurgence without movement

This year, the National Resurgence Day has been widely commemorated by any societal elements mirroring the effort of awakening Indonesia from the backwardness. But what can be expected from both common sense views and opinion disseminated by our Indonesia’s egoistic and pragmatic individuals. They have dreams about Indonesia’s future. But in fact they have vanished it. 

If movement activists have formerly had such thoughtful and long-term insight, but this is now accused as what called as megalomania. While the long-term insight is accused as utopia. At present, some intellectuals and politicians have no comprehensive and long-term insights for being afraid of receiving a label as such persons whose nervous disorder. Besides, their soul has been dwarfed by schooling system making them as technicians rather than movers. Thus, the resurgence was commemorated by screaming rather than movement.<>

We can see any insight having been voiced by our elites in terms of the Indonesia’s resurgence. Just a few of them have devoted themselves for the nation. Instead they have made Indonesia being such a dairy cow to pursue their ambitions. They have exploited, stolen and dominated its natural wealth and facilities. They have even through acclamation and single voice sold all the state-owned assets to other countries so the nation has become infirm. Though realizing the nation’s infirm, they have again and again approved to propose national debts to other countries. Ironically, the debts were not used to investing but to be corrupted so that the nation has day after day plunged into misery.  

In the midst of the misery, they have also voiced and given expectations about the resurgence of the nation. Indonesia is now no longer the united and sovereign nation. It is, however, regarded as such a parceling of lot enable them to sell it any time they want. By giving all foreign companies chance to invest in all areas, our people would in turn lose their jobs.

Look at the fact that some public cigarettes companies have been crushed by foreign cigarettes ones through the government’s regulation. Perhaps, our people would be soon removed from their rice field and land by foreign companies whose freedom under the government power to take the land of the people to be used as business places. Several months following the operations of foreign mini markets in Islamic boarding schools (pesantrens) for instance, public local businesses tend to be worse. All of this was under the auspices of House of Representatives and implemented by the central and regional administration.

The national resurgence is the resurgence of the entire Indonesia’s people rather than its elites. Just the elites have now stolen people’s money. Formerly, funds for reforestation that should be used to preserve the forest have even spent for political interests. Recently, the Maritime and Fisheries Fund (DKP) that should be used to modernize the devices and equipment of fishermen has been enjoyed by our political elites so that the fishermen’ conditions have remained vulnerable. The elites enjoying the DKP have resulted in the stagnancy of the national developments. This has also made the people lose their jobs and make more poor people stand in line for getting food.    

For that reason we need to stop screaming about the resurgence. For basically we are now moving to totally fiasco, people and the nation tend to be worse, we Indonesians tend to have low quality from losing hopes. How is it possible that in the past the countries like Australia and China were really respecting to Indonesia. But now, on account of its leaders' weaknesses, the beloved country of ours can be dictated by Singapore. 

The colonization of mind, the colonization of way of thinking is really strategic without spending much money as conducted by imperialists in controlling the nation’s elites to fulfill their interests. The nation is not permissible to have ideals and weapons. But it should respect the ethics of imperial. They need to be respected for considered of having universal ethics. The manipulation of ethics and ideology has been widely acclaimed.

The national resurgence should be preceded by the rise of the awareness of history and nationality. It is not merely a value, but it should be such a system of behaving and acting that are full of risks. That’s why, it’s necessary to have a strong commitment and high militancy. Without both of them, the nation’s goals remain the slogan per se. while the militancy needs sacrifice, mind, wealth, and soul.

If the resurgence principle as the power, there would be no many whose moral rights to implement it, perhaps. It’s ok. It’s better to have a few whose self awareness than many whose no it. It is like foam rising in season before swept away by the wave. That’s like the fate of our nationalism that is in appearance only. This should be transformed to be a nationalism whose awareness, that is the nationalism of thoughts directing to the movement. (Abdul Mun’im DZ)
