The Ma'arif NU Educational Institution (LP Ma'arif NU) will commemorate the 92nd anniversary on September 19, 2021. One of its agendas is holding the National Working Meeting (Rakernas), Saturday (18/9/2021).

Secretary of LP Ma'arif PBNU Haryanto Oghi said that the Rakernas would also be a venue for organizational consolidation and drafting strategic inputs to be submitted at the NU National Conference and the Grand Conference (Konbes) on September 25-26, 2021.

“The National Working Meeting of LP Ma'arif NU PBNU will be held at the Ma'arif NU Center (MNUC) Building in Grogol, West Jakarta, which will be attended directly by the General Chairman of PBNU, Prof. KH Said Aqil Siroj and the Secretary General of PBNU H Helmy Faishal Zaini and all religional boards of LP Ma'arif NU throughout Indonesia," Oghie told NU Online here Friday (17/9/2021).

The Rakernas, he said, would be conducted in a hybrid meeting, both offline and online.

The Organizing Coordinator for the LP Ma'arif NU's Rakernas, MH Bahaudin, said that the agenda of the 2021 LP Ma'arif NU's Rakernas was themed Serving through Innovative and Responsive Ma'arif NU  Education in the Digital Era.

The theme was chosen to strengthen the big movement of Ma'arif NU education units throughout Indonesia while anticipating the Industrial 4.0 revolution in the current digital era.

He explained that currently there had been 21,045 madrasah and school-level education units under the auspices of the LP Ma'arif NU.

"Inevitably (the Ma'arif NU education units) must transform and adapt to the current conditions without leaving its NU character," he added.

The 2021 LP Ma'arif NU Rakernas will also formulate a strategy for the acceleration and strengthening of the digitalization of educational units within the LP Ma'arif NU. Thus, the results of the Rakernas are expected to have a positive impact on improving the quality of human resources that are able to produce a  strong, superior, and competitive generation.

"This is because the number of students from the Ma'arif NU education unit at all levels of educational unit is approximately 15 million students. It will definitely have a significant impact on the future of the Indonesian nation," said the man who is popularly called Gus Baha.

The Rakernas, according to him, is very important for all education policy makers and practitioners, especially the administrators of Ma'arif NU educational institutions throughout Indonesia in advancing the quality of Ma'arif NU madrasas or schools.
