Said Aqil meets Hezbollah leader

General chairman of the Indonesia's largest Muslim organization NU KH Said Aqil Siradj recently held a meeting with secretary general of the Lebanon-based Hezbollah party, Sayyed Hassan Nasrallah and discussed several issues regarding the unity of Muslims.

The two influential leaders met in a secret place in Lebanon and was attended by senior officials of the Lebanon Ulema League, Sheikh Maher Mizhar and Sheikh Ali Damoush.<>

In the meantime, the two figures came to an agreement on the importance of maintaining and preserving the unity among Muslims to face any possible threat posed by those seeking to divide the unity of the Muslim community.

Both Said Aqil and Nasrallah considered that there had been certain parties launching a series of scenario aimed at threatening the Muslim unity through the defamation among different Islamic schools of thought. (ziz)
