Chairman of the NU Regional Board (PWNU) of Central Java Drs. KH Moh. Adnan MA reiterated the importance of both defending and preserving the teachings of what so-called as Ahlussunnah wal Jamaah (Aswaja).
As for Adnan, such efforts to defend and preserve the teachings were aimed at facing any threat posed by other parties from outside, adding that there had now been three movements which should be kept on alert.<>
The three, he added, were extreme or hardline group, liberal and those propagating religious teachings which are considered deviant or misleading.
Adnan made the remarks as addressing the Halal Bihalal meeting held by the NU Student Association of Dawe subdistrict at the Madrassa Miftahul Falah auditorium, Cendono, Dawe, Kudus on Friday (16/10).
Present also at the occassion were chairman of the Kudus NU Branch Board HM Chusnan MS and all board members of such NU institutions as Muslimat, Ansor Youth Movement, Fatayat, IPNU across Dawe.
"To anticipate such movements, Nahdliyin (NU followers) should importantly help one another as practiced by KH Hasyim Asy'ari while establishing Nahdlatul Ulama," Adnan said.
In the meantime, he also stressed the importance of NU educational institutions to expectedly be able to produce cadres whose strong dedication and fanatism to NU. (adb)
