The Nahdlatul Ulama Students Association (IPNU) launched a special moral force-based program so-called National Workshop held at the headquarters of the Central Board of Nahdlatul Ulama (PBNU) on Tuesday (16/08).
The program followed by a fast-breaking gathering and dialogue on youth nationalism was attended by such members of the House of Representatives as Rieke Diah Pitaloka and Yandri Susanto.
"This event is a starting action in the context of presenting a moral movement IPNU amid an increasingly alarming national problems faced by Indonesia recently," chairman of IPNU Ahmad Shauqi said, adding that the program was also expected to monitor society service based-public policies and stimulate a resurgence of young people.
Syauqi added, the national workshop would be run consistently in the coming few days, either through strategic studies by inviting national figures or road protest.
He was of the view the strategic studies were aimed at resulting in a new formula related to the youth and student movement in the domain of education and nationhood in general.
"On the other hand, the action of going on the road is expectedly such a balancing therapy for a variety of public policies that are not based on the people interests," he said. (mkf)
