In dealing with increasing threats posed by the Indonesian Islamic State (NII), the Ansor youth Movement has called on people to fight against the radical organization.

In addition to threatening the Unitary State of Republic of Indonesia (NKRI), the NII has also had big potential to disturn religious harmony in the world's most populous Muslim country.

General Chairman of the NU youth wing, Nusron Wahid made the remarks on the sidelines of an inauguration of five subdistrict-level board members at the Perguruan  Annidzomiyah, Jaha, Labuan Banten over the weekend.

The board members inaugurated were, among others, from Labuan, Menes, Patia, Sukaresmi and Carita.

As for Nusron, the NII could be considered unpopular idea to fight against the NKRI in addition to threatening both the tradition and legacies having sor far been maintained and preserved by NU ulema (Muslim scholars).

Since the NU established by three prominent ulema such as Wahab Hasbullah, Hasyim Asy'ari, and Wahid Hasyim in Banyuwangi tens of years ago, there has been an agreement made by so-called as Panitia Lima (Five Committees) and BPUPKI that both Pancasila and the 1945 Constitution were final in nature and the majority of Muslims in the time also accepted," Nusron said.

The inauguration was attended by Erwan Kurtubi (regent), Thoni Fathoni Mukson (legislator), and Roni Bahroni (legislator) and so on. (mkf)
